EUB SuperHub – Pragmatic and innovative approaches to public engagement and social acceptance

This deliverable examines the public engagement and social acceptance of EPCs and their pertinence to the EUB SuperHub platform. Thus, this report offers a critical review of public engagement programmes from various sectors across Europe. In this context, the report aims to (i) identify and assess good practices and transferable lessons from projects in other sectors to identify innovative methods for more effective communication; (ii) examine issues of spatially explicit information and technology; (iii) consider the impacts of social media and increased usage of information and communication technology in investors, private and public sector decision making; and (iv) assess the “preconditions” influencing stakeholders to hold certain views on energy efficiency in buildings and on energy performance certificates.
