Approved 5 April 2006. Directive on energy end-use efficiency and energy services
This Directive set the foundations for the development of energy audits.
It obliged the Member States to guarantee the availability of high-quality and efficient energy audit schemes. In addition, the same obligation was extended to Energy Performance Certificates and Voluntary Agreement Schemes (Article 12).
