This report summarises the final conference of the TIMEPAC project, titled “Innovating Energy Certification: Transforming Building Performance Assessment”, which was held at the Catalan Institute for Energy in Barcelona, Spain, on October 4, 2024.
The purpose of the conference was to present the results of the TIMEPAC project to relevant stakeholders, engage guest speakers on key issues identified throughout the project, and provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to share and discuss their experiences regarding the current state of building energy certification and ways to enhance it in line with the latest recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.
The conference programme was organised into two main segments:
- Three roundtable discussions with experts in building performance certification, moderated by TIMEPAC partners.
- A paper session for external researchers to present and discuss their work, focusing on two key topics: enhanced energy performance certification and renovation passport.
