This document (confidential) compiles the results and data obtained during the first round of crossCert testing and a preliminary analysis of the information gathered.
In this first round of cross testing, current building energy certification methodologies have been compared and tested in detail with the following objectives:
- Obtaining a global view of energy certification of buildings in Europe, encompassing the entire process, from obtaining the input data, running the certification software, and presenting the results to the end user.
- Categorising the different methods of energy certification of buildings in Europe to facilitate assessing methodologies and harmonising EPC procedures.
- Providing the raw information to work packages to analyse current building energy certification methodologies in Europe and analyse good practices, performance gap, exploitation of EPC data or recommendations for harmonisation.
- Joint learning among the project partners as they are exposed to the EPC practices of other countries and are in a position to promote in their national methodologies the implementation of better practices from their peers in other countries.
- Providing data and results to the EPC benchmark repository that is being created in crossCert.
